Israel Funds Social Media Influencers

(MENAFN) Israel has been compensating social media influencers to enhance its reputation in the United States, according to the online publication Responsible Statecraft.

Recently, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu emphasized the importance of content creators in sustaining backing for the Jewish nation.

On Tuesday, Responsible Statecraft disclosed that documents submitted under the US Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA) uncovered details of an “Influencer Campaign” operated by Bridge Partners, a consulting firm based in Washington, which is working on behalf of Israel’s Foreign Ministry.

Invoices addressed to Havas Media Group Germany, the agency overseeing the campaign, indicate funding of $900,000 between June and November 2025 for a group of 14 to 18 influencers.

The filings suggest an output of 75 to 90 posts during that timeframe, translating to a rate of $6,143 to $7,372 per post, as reported by Responsible Statecraft. However, the documents do not reveal the identities of the influencers involved.

Bridge Partners, co-owned by Yair Levi and Uri Steinberg, has recruited a former spokesperson for the IDF as well as a former representative of the Israeli spyware company NSO Group.

In a press briefing last week, Netanyahu highlighted the importance of securing Israel’s “support base in the US” by utilizing influencers, especially on platforms like TikTok and X.
