He said the leaders emphasized that “serious negotiations are now taking place” and expressed optimism that a diplomatic solution could still be reached, according to reports.
Trump added that any potential agreement would require a strict prohibition on Iran obtaining nuclear weapons, describing it as a key condition for any settlement.
The decision to delay the strike comes amid heightened regional tensions and ongoing efforts by Gulf states to encourage negotiations between Washington and Tehran, according to reports.
