Roblox Restored in Russia

(MENAFN) Online gaming platform Roblox has been restored for users across Russia after satisfying the country's legal requirements on user safety, the Russian Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media announced Wednesday.

The ministry said it had previously engaged in direct consultations with Roblox ownership over the protection of underage users on the platform. Following those talks, Roblox rolled out a series of additional child safety measures, including an age-based game access restriction mechanism, and committed to ongoing efforts to combat the spread of undesirable content, the ministry said.

The platform had been blocked since December 3 after Russia's telecommunications watchdog Roskomnadzor flagged concerns over inappropriate content deemed capable of negatively impacting the spiritual and moral development of children.
