Logistics Plus Names Amit Prasad Chief AI Officer

Industry veteran will drive enterprise AI strategy and digital transformation across the company's global operations.

In this new role, Prasad will lead enterprise AI strategy, digital transformation, and supply chain services across LP's global operations in North America, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.

Prasad brings two decades of experience building data science and supply chain capabilities for global logistics organizations. He joins Logistics Plus from Capgemini, where he led the Intelligent Supply Chain and AI practice, advising Fortune 500 clients across automotive, energy, manufacturing, and retail on enterprise AI transformation. He previously served as Executive Vice President and Chief Data Science Officer at Transportation Insight and Nolan Transportation Group, and spent nearly a decade at Coyote Logistics, a UPS company, as Vice President of Supply Chain and Data Science, where he built the organization's first production machine-learning pricing and route-optimization capabilities.

A published researcher and a regular speaker at industry conferences — including Manifest, INFORMS, and the FTR Transportation Conference — Prasad holds a master's degree in Supply Chain Management from MIT and a Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Guwahati, India.
