The Eight Novels of Divine G Entertainment

The month-long program from the Brooklyn independent publisher pairs eight audiobooks, led by three full-cast productions, through November 1, 2026

I didn’t create audiobooks to be heard—I created them to be experienced. I want listeners experience my stories as I see them: character by character, scene by scene, with the sound and energy of film”
— This isn’t just an audiobook—it’s a movie for your ears.
BROOKLYN, NY, UNITED STATES, October 5, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Divine G Entertainment (DGE), the Brooklyn independent publisher founded by author and screenwriter John "Divine G" Whitfield, has launched The DGE Double Feature, a month-long audiobook program running October 1 through November 1, 2026. The program is built around three full-cast Cinematic Audiobooks that DGE produced independently and sells directly at divinegentertainment.com.

Whitfield is an Academy Award nominee and executive producer of Sing Sing, the 2024 A24 film that received three Oscar nominations, including Best Adapted Screenplay, which credits Whitfield for its story, and Best Actor for Colman Domingo, who portrayed him. Whitfield's novel Money Grip appears on screen in the film.

Most audiobooks are performed by a single narrator. DGE's Cinematic Audiobooks, Money Grip, Money Grip 2 and Time Jack, assign a distinct voice to every character and build sound effects such as engines, gunshots, crashes, barking dogs and machinery under each scene. The productions use no music score. DGE created the character voices with AI voice technology, which Whitfield says made full-cast production possible for an independent publisher.

"I write novels the way I write screenplays, scene by scene," said Whitfield. "With the Cinematic Audiobooks, listeners hear the story the way I see it, with every character speaking in their own voice. It plays like a movie without the screen."

Under the Double Feature, each MP3 audiobook purchased on the DGE website qualifies the buyer for a second audiobook at no charge, chosen from five designated titles: The Canarsie Connection, No Other Love, Enigma of Love, Baby Doll and TGONG. Whitfield narrates three of them himself: The Canarsie Connection, No Other Love and Enigma of Love. The discount is applied automatically at checkout. The three Cinematic Audiobooks are priced at $20 each and the remaining five titles at $15.

For listeners who want a ready-made starting point, DGE has assembled four themed pairs, each sold as a single product: Brooklyn Blood Money (Money Grip and The Canarsie Connection, $20); Justice, by Any Means (Time Jack and TGONG, $20); Survivors (Money Grip 2 and Baby Doll, $20); and Love, Told by the Author (No Other Love and Enigma of Love, $15).

Every Double Feature purchase is covered by a 7-Day Listen Guarantee, under which buyers may request a refund within seven days of purchase. The MP3 files play on phones, computers, car stereos and MP3 players without a subscription or app. The program covers MP3 downloads only; paperbacks, eBooks and audio CDs are not included.

"Selling direct means it's just me and the listener, no middleman," Whitfield said. "The guarantee is there because I stand behind these productions. Give it a week. If it isn't for you, you get your money back."

The Double Feature is part of DGE's wider relaunch of Whitfield's eight-novel backlist, which spans crime, urban fiction, romance and science fiction. Several of the titles are in development as screenplays.
